MARA comes from the swedish word (mardröm) English: (nightmare) and is an old primitive force that represents death.

We are representing the essence of: MARA, through galder. We are channeling the energy by fire, blood and Seiðr. MARA brings the :ᚦ:

fire that will bring Ragnarök-black metal to destroy this world!

The black Seiðr of MARA started 2010 when the self released demo (Dark powers) came out. In 2012 the demo (The reawakening) was self released followed by the debut full length album “Seiðr” which was released on CD through Aurora Australis in 2015.

​

Three years later, in 2018 Vindsval joined forces with the Danish black metal warriors: Vrede & Ynleborgaz. The band released its second full length album “Thursian Flame” on CD through Throats Productions.

In 2019 MARA signed with Immortal Frost Productions for the release of their third full length album "RÖK" on CD.

​

2022 the fourth opus " Loka Mær" was released on CD and Vinyl at Immortal Frost Productions.
